For this edition of Pub.Call, we focused on actionable, immediate strategies for publishers to increase revenue in Q2 — or, as we like to say, “It’s time to make your Q2 your new Q4.”

Our conversation emphasized moving beyond traditional metrics to focus on revenue per session and overcoming current market challenges like declining traffic and privacy regulations. As part of our discussion, four technology partners presented solutions designed for quick implementation and incremental revenue growth. While the presented solutions are tactical, they also serve a strategic purpose: building a moat against LLMs by deepening the relationship with visitors through relevant, engaging content.

Publishers were encouraged to engage with their CFOs to identify clear financial goals and champion these solutions as a means to achieve them. Additionally, publishers were challenged to control their own destiny by driving direct traffic and maximizing the value of every visitor currently on their site.
