Base.Camp Madrid Activities

Base.Camp Madrid

TUESDAY AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES

One of the things we work hard to do at every Base.Camp is to create unforgettable, interactive experiences to complement all of those strategic conversations. During our famous Tuesday afternoon Base.Camp adventures and excursions, we set aside those discussions to do the equally essential work of coming together as a true community of humans who share common goals.

If you ask anyone who’s attended a Base.Camp before, they’ll be the first to tell you that these are where some of the most valuable memories are made, new relationships are forged, and existing bonds are strengthened, making up the foundation of the work we must accomplish as a whole. We’ll share soon what’s on deck for Madrid.

A Roaming Tapas Feast Through Madrid

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This is far more than a standard walking tour. Your guide will lead you through three buzzing gastronomic stops across Madrid, beginning with melt-in-your-mouth premium Spanish jamón and artisanal cheeses paired with a crisp drink. From there, we’ll head into a lively Basque tavern, where you’ll hand-pick two towering, flavor-packed pintxos straight from the bar.

Then we move onto our final stop, which brings out the traditional Spanish classics for an absolute feast. You might find sizzling garlic prawns, perfectly crispy patatas bravas, creamy ensaladilla, and more hitting the table as we round out an afternoon spent eating our way through Madrid.

Please note: This experience cannot accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Madrid in Motion: The Ultimate eBike Ride

1:30 PM to 3:30 PM

Strap in, power up, and feel the breeze. We’re trading a standard sightseeing tour for a two-hour joyride through the vibrant heart of Madrid. Starting from the bike shop, you’ll hop on an eBike and let the electric motor handle the city’s legendary hills, giving you more time to take in Madrid and considerably less time worrying about the climb.

You’ll zoom past the sprawling golden-stone facades of the Royal Palace, weave through the cinematic energy of Madrid’s grand historic squares, and glide beneath the lush, sun-dappled canopy of El Retiro Park. Over the course of two hours, you’ll cover serious ground while getting an up-close look at the capital’s iconic monuments, historic streets, green spaces, and the energy of the city moving around you.

Enter the Bernabéu: The Real Madrid Football Experience

1:15 PM to 5:15 PM

Led by an official Real Madrid guide, you’ll explore the legendary stadium and hear the stories, secrets, and defining moments behind one of the most iconic clubs in the world. You’ll walk through the history of Los Blancos and get closer to the place where some of football’s biggest legends made their mark. Then the experience pivots from watching history from the sidelines to getting in on the action.

At RealMadrid Games, you’ll go head-to-head with your Beeler.Tech friends in a cutting-edge, fully immersive virtual football experience. You’ll start with a high-energy dynamic training session, move into precision ball-handling drills, and put your striker instincts to the test in a high-pressure shooting challenge. And then comes the finale: a spectacular virtual match environment that drops you onto the pitch with the roar of the stadium around you.

Walk Through History: Palaces, Power & the Royal Secrets of Madrid

1:45 PM to 4:45 PM

For three hours, your private insider will take you beyond the standard guidebook fare to the notorious streets, squares, and palaces of Madrid’s dramatic history. You’ll start at the electric Puerta del Sol before stepping into the sweeping, fresco-lined Plaza Mayor, a square with a past far more dramatic than its elegant surroundings suggest. Over the centuries, it has hosted royal coronations, raucous bullfights, and Inquisition trials, and your guide will bring those stories back to life as you explore.

From there, you’ll disappear into the labyrinthine cobblestone streets of the 16th-century Habsburg quarter, once home to golden-age poets and centuries of whispered political intrigue. Follow its winding streets until they suddenly open onto the elegant, statue-lined Plaza de Oriente. And then you’ll end at the Royal Palace — a staggering 3,400-room monument to absolute power, where you’ll wander beneath masterful Tiepolo frescoes, see the world’s only complete Stradivarius string quintet, and explore the fiercely intimidating royal armory.

Master the Spanish Kitchen: A Tapas Workshop

12:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Roll up your sleeves, pour the cava, and get ready to cook your way across Spain. After a 20-minute walk to The Cooking Clubhouse, we’ll step inside a beautifully restored 120-year-old venue for a hands-on journey through the flavors and culinary traditions of Spain’s diverse regions.

Under the lively guidance of expert chefs, you’ll get into the kitchen and prepare several traditional tapas yourself. But don’t expect a quiet cooking lesson. This is designed to feel much more like a festive gathering among friends, with vibrant music, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and bottomless wine and cava flowing while everyone cooks together. Once the cooking is done, we’ll gather around the table and dig into the tapas we’ve created. The chefs will take it from there, adding a chef-prepared main course and dessert to complete the meal.
