Week 49: Racing through Q4 into 2022...and then...

articles Dec 20, 2021

Dammit if I didn't think I could make it through 2021 without COVID. Omicron ain't no joke, people. Please be careful out there and enjoy any end-of-year festivities.

Quick CES Update: 0% of attending. Zero interest in learning any more letters in the Greek alphabet.

A few things you can do before 2022 hits

(no particular order)
  1. Sign up for our Virtual Happy Hour for 2022. Yes, Joey, it's still going. We're like 80+ Fridays of hanging out and we're still waiting for you to pop by.
  2. If you're on the VHH list, you'll get an invite to the Beeler.Tech Discord server. It'll help you through the next couple of weeks while VHH is canceled (something about holidays and families or something).
  3. Become a Job Seeker. This might not be clear to everyone, but this isn't just for people out of a job. Let's say you're an ad ops person but want to try your hand at a product role. Write up the job you want and you might find someone wants to give you a shot. It's anonymous and zero blind introductions.
  4. Take a break, will ya? 2022 is going to be big in so many ways. Rest while you can!

Boulder is on a roll now

I told you there would be bad Boulder puns from now until May 1st. Here's the latest:

  • Amazing response to our announcement last week! Thank you. I'll respond to everyone this week. The event is invite-only, but that doesn't mean you can't raise your hand to be involved.
  • Boulder Base Camp is more than just the event. I'm planning at least monthly meetings leading into May to discuss the agenda as well as follow up meetings as well.
  • I have an agenda that I'll be sharing with my early verbal commitmenters (I know it's not a word but I don't care). This event is more than just talk – we'll be getting shit done. I couldn't be more excited about it.
  • Oh, and we're going to have some fun. Maybe one of our activities will be working our way through Joey Trotz's book of cocktails!
Our own Joey Trotz has created a book: Quarantine Cocktails!

After spending the first 18 months of the COVID-19 lockdown posting nearly daily cocktail recipes and photos on his Instagram, Joey decided to create a book and donate the proceeds to Giving Kitchen (GK), an Atlanta-based charity in support of food service workers in crisis. Quarantine hit the foodservice industry hard, and many bartenders and bars were disproportionally impacted. This is his way of giving back.

Giving Kitchen was founded by a husband/wife couple who were in the process of opening what became a James Beard awards nominee restaurant when the husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The community rallied around them and the charity was born.

All proceeds from the book will be donated to GK, and we hope you'll consider supporting the cause by making a direct donation through Joey's page.

Please support Giving Kitchen, buy Joey's book (we did!), check out Joey's IG, or donate to a cause that is close to your heart. The last 2 years have been really tough in so many ways. Anything you can give, means someone else benefits. And isn't that what the holidays are all about?

When a Sticker says it all...

Every dime we collect through our store in the month of December goes to the TD Foundation (taxes go to the government, but we still donate that amount for you sticklers out there).

TD Foundation Gala is Jan 19th in New York (I hope) and Beeler.Tech is a sponsor!

Donate. Go right to the source and give everything you can and maybe a little bit more. You'll be okay. Others perhaps not.

Buy on Beeler.Tech. Not only the TD Foundation merch, but any Beeler.Tech merch proceeds go right to the cause.

Not only will you feel good, but you'll be rockin' your merch some day and a stranger is going approach you and say, "You know Beeler?", and then you're going to find you should be doing business together and you're going to make a lot of money.*

Job Seeker #84

Based in New York City and looking for a remote position, this senior digital media and programmatic manager has nearly a decade of experience in the field. During the pandemic, she was able to recoup revenue lost by working quickly to analyze opportunities, resulting in doubled revenue on one digital product and triple on another from the year prior. She loves creative problem solving and working cross-functionally. With hands-on experience in all aspects of campaign management, she leverages that knowledge for strategy and scale. Her education in marketing and early work for a traditional ad agency add to her keen insights with data and behavioral analysis. With a mind for logical and numerical reasoning, she is able to easily learn new technological advancements. She is interested in research, decision making, and achieving organizational goals. Previously, she held the title of Director and reported to the CRO. She has team management experience, but is also open to a senior level independent contributor role in adops, product, or marketing.
